…the beautiful and consistent voice of Martina Zadro was growing in strength
from one act to the next, knowing exactly when and how to control the intensity of her interpretation. She delighted us on stage.
Mirta Špoljarić, Vjesnik, 21. 12. 2009
Martina Zadro is a singer of great qualities and there is no argument about her singing. Her voice is fresh, resonant and balanced, equally beautiful in forte and in piano. She controls it masterfully, and she reigned in the third act, singing and acting beautifully.
Marija Barbieri, Kulisa.eu, 20. 12. 2009
The Croatian soprano Zadro stood out with her pleasant voice, confident high pitches and clear singing.

…we saw the vocally and dramatically very fine Martina Zadro, who delighted us this time again with the beautiful ring in her voice, with long dramatic legatos and a true sense for bel canto.
Stanislav Koblar, Finance, 20. 4. 2006
The Croatian soprano Martina Zadro is not (yet!) Callas, Caballé or Bartoli, but her Fiorilla was very charming, seductive and spontaneous – this was the best part in the whole performance.
Vladimir Frantar, Opera magazine – London; February 2006
What Martina Zadro has shown can be achieved on stage only by the most complete artist.
Bogdan Učakar, Večer, 18. 1. 2005
Martina Zadro was brilliant both vocally and dramatically… her voice is crystal clear and pleasant in numerous difficult coloraturas, with a complete contrast between the lyrics and drama as well as in the fortissimo of the ensemble.
Stanislav Kobar, Finance, 18. 1. 2005
She has been gracing our stage with her clear, dramatically coloured voice.
Pavel Mihelčič, Delo, 15. 1. 2005

… the soprano Martina Zadro with such a beautiful voice, pure articulation, clear coloraturas and high pitches, with a convincing stage performance in portraying the role.
Marijan Zlobec, Nedelo, 16. 1. 2005.
A delightful blonde, Martina Zadro was ideal in her very appearance. She was charming with her elegant soprano which will further develop, but primarily with the sparkling highs and wonderful pianos.
Ekkehard Pluta, Klassik Heute, 20. 1. 2005.
Her refined soprano has a crystal clear expression in every register.
Oskar Tonkli, Wiener Zeitung, 25. 10. 2005
The soprano Martina Zadro with her beautiful voice and fine vocal technique was surely the most convincing singer.
Pavel Mihelčič, Delo, 24. 10. 2005
Fluid, tangible, masterful in her touch on stage, with excellent vocal and register impostation, and an open evenness in soft cantilenas as in virtuoso singing. Here is a singer whom we cannot admire enough.
Bogdan Učakar, Večer, 26. 10. 2005
A rising star
Martina Zadro, the young Croatian soprano, a star in the ascendant, demonstrated her refined singing and musicality at the concert in the Croatian Music Institute, in cooperation with the pianist Lana Bradić. Martina Zadro is surely the highlight of Professor Snježana Bujanović Stanislav’s class. Martina has sung in Graz, Bratislava and Prague, but also in New York where she worked with Anna Moffo. Martina has received important recognition and has won significant engagements. She has astutely been building her technique over time, strictly differentiating between opera and concert singing in her vocal interpretations. This charming Zagreb artist is distinguished by the ease of her vocal interpretations, a finely polished sense of the structure of the large or small form, and by leading the phrase of a clear legato line to an appropriate evenness of the whole, including the highest registers. Thus, the natural way of singing comes most easily to Martina Zadro and her highly trained voice. This evening, at the premiere of the songs composed by the contemporary Croatian composer Srećko Bradić, Martina presented a particularly picturesque tone in her performance.
Branko Magdić, Vijenac, 23. 6. 2005
Martina Zadro stands out with a wealth of delicate, musical phrases with her resonant high pitches and pianos, with the fervour of her interpretation and with complete submission to the role…
D. Schopf, Vjesnik, 3. 3. 2003
The role of Violetta was sung by the excellent Croatian soprano Martina Zadro. Her vocal performance was outstanding in all respects. Her voice is strong and balanced, very beautiful. The interpretation follows the musical phrase, sometimes surpasses it, reinforces it and gives it an intensive charge. Even the looks of Martina Zadro make her a real Violetta: fragile, but powerful and beautiful.
Pavel Mihelčič, Delo, 2003
The soprano Martina Zadro, her first time in the role of Violetta and her first time on the Ljubljana stage, effortlessly demonstrated her vocal range, forming the inner psychological structure of the role for the stage, and demonstrating outstanding flexibility in harmonising her role with others. All this on the wings of beautiful singing, youthful supremacy, and a rounded portrayal of the role, with inner control and a vocal expression which comes from the inside, not striving for superficial effect. The singing career of this soprano is assured.
Bogdan Učakar, Večer, 2003
The lead role was the successful debut of Martina Zadro, a singer with a beautiful, balanced voice, easily flowing in coloraturas, and with a relaxed manner on stage.
Stanislav Koblar, Finance, 2003
This concert has certainly added 29-year-old Martina to the followers of the famous tradition of interpreting the lied. One of the values of Martina’s interpretation is her bright voice of extraordinary beauty, perfectly even registers, broad but always controlled volume and brilliant highs. She feels deeply the atmosphere and sense of the sung text, and achieves this through her excellent pronunciation of the French language.
Nenad Turkalj, Vjesnik, 15. 7. 2002
Martina Zadro is a ravishing, spinto soprano with a sophisticated vocal technique in every aspect. Her performance is characterised by a fantastic, mentally alert interpretation.
D. Turkalj, Vjesnik, Zagreb, 3. 8. 2001
An enviable vocal maturity and technical evenness in all registers distinguishes the singing of the 24-year-old soprano Martina Zadro. Although young and only at the beginning of her concert and operatic career … she already demonstrates all the characteristics of highly cultivated singing. The warmth and musicality of her singing, with perfectly placed stresses on individual tones and refined legato phrasing in all dynamic nuances are the acknowledged features of her vocal capacity. Her reliable intonation further emphasises the resonance of her lusciously rounded lyric voice and; young though she is, she is already a spinto soprano. Martina Zadro has evolved into a wonderfully voluminous soprano, and has even reached dramatic poetic expression. Martina Zadro clearly thrilled the audience.
